RSHYR 2024 | Race Start – The Maxis

Christian Beck’s LawConnect won the race to be first out of the Harbour again and followed that up by winning Line Honours in a time of 1day, 13 hours & 35 minutes. Matt Allen/James Mayo’s chartered Master Lock Comanche retired with sail damage on the first night and Grant Warrington/Adrian Seiffert’s Wild Thing 100 completed the race with broken mainsail battens and other damage.

RSHYR 2024 | Race Start – Mini Maxis

The highly competitive Mini Maxi group of boats powered out of the Heads led by Sam Hayne’s chartered Celestial V70 (Willow) followed closely by Anthony Johnston’s URM Group, Philip Turner’s Alive, David Griffith’s Whisper and David Goetze’s No Limit. Alive (engine Issues) & URM Group (dismasted) both retired from the race on the first evening. Celestial V70 went on to take 2nd place in Line Honours and 1st place on IRC overall. Whisper & No Limit arrived safely in Hobart taking 4th & 5th place in IRC Div 0.
